Serving as Beijing Kawin’s core R&D institute, National Engineering Research Center for Viral Bio-Technology was approved and financially supported by State Development and Reform Commission. Backed by Institute for Viral Disease Control under China CDC and its own state laboratory, the center’s main mission is to research & refine production process and promote industrialization. Its main target is genetic engineering drugs against virus hepatitis.

Deputy Director: Mr. Dexin LI, Virosis molecular biologist; Entitled “Young Expert with Outstanding Contributions” by Chinese MOH; Current research target: new types of vaccines.

Over 40% of them have doctor or postgraduate degrees and have had overseas experience

ACHIEVEMENTS AND UNDERTAKINGS:

Applied for 13 items of National Invention Patent, and 2 of them got approval successfully;
Undertaking research on: 2 new drugs in national grade-1, 1 new drug in national grade-2, and 3 new drugs in national grade-3;

Undertaking 9 national projects including 7 “863” projects (for which acquired nearly 10 million RMB support fund from the government);

Achieved success in research on more than 20 new pharmaceutical products till now.
